What should I bring?

Valid government Issued ID/Driver’s License/Passport required for ALL boat drivers REGARDLESS OF AGE (ID must include photo, date of birth, issuing agency, expiration date)
Swimsuit/Towel

We HIGHLY recommend wearing inexpensive sunglasses, particularly sunglasses with polarized lenses.

Florida Law requires all persons born on or after January 1 1988 hold a valid boater’s safety license to operate a boat or jet ski. Temporary boater’s safety license tests are NOT available on site, but can be easily obtained by taking a brief 25 question multiple choice test (typically takes 10-15 minutes) here: Florida Temporary Boater’s Safety License The test costs $14 allows for free unlimited pass attempts, and is valid for 90 days. Boater’s safety licenses from other states are considered valid in FL if marked “NASBLA approved”, not expired, and in the driver’s physical possession at our office. If born on or after January 1 1988, please complete the online course prior to your scheduled check in time and bring proof (either printed, or on your phone) for verification. Passengers do NOT need boater’s licenses or IDs.

Is prior experience necessary?

No prior experience is necessary; our guides will provide instructions.

Can children participate?

Yes, children aged 5 and above can join as passengers.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Yes. While falling off the jetski into the water is not common, it can happen and we recommend being prepared for the possibility. All participants will wear life jackets, but comfort in and around the water helps ensure you have a fun and safe experience.

What is the weight capacity of a Catboat?

Each Catboat has a weight capacity of 600lbs. The combined weight of the driver and passenger may not exceed this number.

Age Requirements

For safety, operators must be 16 years or older, while passengers need to be at least 5 years old to join the tour.

Duration

Our tour lasts 2 hours, offering a balanced experience that allows plenty of time to explore and enjoy the surroundings.

Booking

Secure your spot by booking online in advance. Reservations are recommended to guarantee availability for your desired date and time.

Safety Briefing

Before departure, all guests participate in a comprehensive safety briefing to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience on the water.

Arrivals and Refunds

Must arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to reservation time to complete paperwork and safety briefing. Tours may leave without guests that do not arrive on time. No refunds will be offered for tours missed due to late arrival. “Rainchecks” for missed tours due to late arrival may be considered based on space available and management discretion.

We are located in "The Cove", which is the northernmost section (building 7) of Three Waters Resort at Mile Marker 84 in Islamorada. Parking is available in a gravel parking area just outside of The Cove entrance, with additional overflow parking inside The Cove.

We are located in "The Cove", which is the northernmost section (building 7) of Three Waters Resort at Mile Marker 84 in Islamorada. Parking is available in a gravel parking area just outside of The Cove entrance, with additional overflow parking inside The Cove.

Our location is oceanside on the "Old Highway" behind Theatre of the Seas and just north of Starbucks and Islamorada Pizza Co.

Probably the best Excursion I've ever done! We have the best weather. But every staff member was delightful. And our tour guide today on March 1st, she was bubbly conscientious very professional and fun! We're going to do it a couple of more times before we leave. And we live here 4 months of the year. My wife and I did the power skiff tour and throughly enjoyed it. Our guide took use through a variety of areas including going through mangroves. Even though it was a guided tour, there were plenty of opportunities to go full throttle on the skiff and it was truly a lot of fun. The tour was also very informative and we learned a lot of local lore while having a good time. The equipment was well maintained and easy to manuver if you are concerned about that. Another thing that really impressed me was that the staff made sure to know all the people going on the tour by our first names. They do multiple tours with 8-10 people and that just showed their commitment to service and treating their customers well. I'd recommend this and I'd do it again the next time I'm down that way.

We’ve wanted to do the Cat boats for a long while. Finally did it and the total experience was great. From ease of booking to the helpful staff and our on the water guide, it was worth every penny. Equipment was top notch as well. We also received personalized photos from our trip (at no extra cost). A great adventure and highly recommend. Tip: Would recommend that you choose a date based on a good weather forecast.

He is very knowledgeable about the area and provided us with a lot of interesting information. The Cat boats are really fun to drive/ride in and the scenery is beautiful.
