A gratuity for your tour guide is customary, but only if your trip was exceptional.

Florida Law requires all persons born on or after January 1 1988 hold a valid boater’s safety license to operate a boat or jet ski. Temporary boater’s safety license tests are NOT available on site, but can be easily obtained by taking a brief 25 question multiple choice test (typically takes 10-15 minutes) here: Florida Temporary Boater’s Safety License The test costs $14 allows for free unlimited pass attempts, and is valid for 90 days. Boater’s safety licenses from other states are considered valid in FL if marked “NASBLA approved”, not expired, and in the driver’s physical possession at our office. If born on or after January 1 1988, please complete the online course prior to your scheduled check in time and bring proof (either printed, or on your phone) for verification. Passengers do NOT need boater’s licenses or IDs.

Can children participate?

Yes, children aged 6 and above can join as passengers.

What happens in case of bad weather?

We offer a 100% refund if we cancel due to weather conditions.

Where is your location?

Our address is 84457 Overseas Highway, Islamorada FL 33036 (Pelican Cove Resort). We are just north of Postcard Inn, Starbucks, and Abel’s Bait and Tackle on the “Old Highway” behind Theatre of the Seas. IMPORTANT: Apple Maps currently shows our location as “permanently closed” and located at the Postcard Inn Beach Resort. This is INCORRECT, and we’re working on getting the information corrected. Set navigation apps to navigate to 84457 Overseas Highway, Islamorada FL 33036. Jet ski tours are available for Islamorada Resort Collection guests and the general public.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Yes. While falling off the jet ski into the water is not common, it can happen and we recommend being prepared for the possibility. All participants will wear life jackets, but comfort in and around the water helps ensure you have a fun and safe experience.

Do I need snorkeling or swimming experience to join this trip?

No prior snorkeling experience is required — beginners are welcome and our crew will provide a short briefing before entering the water. However, basic swimming ability is required to participate in the snorkeling portion of the trip.

Is snorkeling equipment provided?

Yes. Mask, snorkel, and fins are included for guests who wish to snorkel. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer. For safety reasons, full-face snorkel masks are not permitted.

What will we see while snorkeling?

The Florida Keys reef ecosystem is home to colorful tropical fish, coral formations, and a variety of marine life. Sightings often include parrotfish, angelfish, sergeant majors, and other reef species. Every snorkel stop is unique depending on conditions and wildlife activity that day.

Snorkeling locations vary from trip to trip depending on weather, wind, and water conditions to ensure the safest experience and best visibility. When conditions allow, two of our favorite spots are Hens and Chickens Reef and Cheeca Rocks, both known for their shallow coral formations, excellent visibility, and abundant tropical marine life. Your captain will choose the best site for the day’s conditions to provide the most enjoyable snorkeling experience possible.

Will we snorkel at Alligator Reef?

Alligator Reef Lighthouse is one of the most well-known snorkel sites in the Florida Keys, located about five miles offshore. When weather and sea conditions are favorable, we may visit this area. However, the exact snorkel location is always chosen by the captain based on factors like wind, waves, current, and water visibility to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience. On some days, that means snorkeling closer reef sites that offer calmer conditions and excellent marine life viewing.

Is gratuity included in the ticket price?

Gratuity is not included. While never required, tipping is customary in the charter and tour industry as a way to thank your captain and crew for providing a safe and enjoyable experience. Tips are always appreciated.

Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I was nervous at first but felt very safe after being on the catboat for a few minutes. It was definitely a fun experience. My only suggestion would be to allow time for some sandbar swimming. For the price we pay, extra time should be given to have this experience.

Chris, our captain and Sophia, are hostess were awesome! They were friendly and talkative and were very knowledgeable. We went to the lighthouse first to snorkel and on the way to the sandbar we saw dolphins. Chris circled back so we could get an up close experience, which was awesome! The boat was incredible! It was fairly new and included a bathroom. Lots of space and shade if needed. I felt very safe with Chris as the captain even in a very crowded sandbar area. Highly recommend! We will be back.

We booked this mostly because we love being on the water, have a boat back home, but couldn’t find anything half way decent to rent. What a great time!! Sophia and Ryan were most accommodating, offering water and to get us our drinks. The best was I didn’t have to argue with my husband while we blew up all the floats, lol. Jet Ski Tour was fantastic. First class operation at Spray from start to end. Walked me through everything when I booked the reservation on what I needed to do and how to do it. We saw nurse sharks and stingrays in the mangrove swamp. Blasted around the bay for a while and got to hang out on the sand bar with a bunch of other folks. This was my daughter and wife’s first time on a wave runner. They did great and loved it! If you’re even considering this, do it! Well worth the money. Im seriously considering booking again tomorrow.

Outstanding cruise with Captain Ryan and First Mate Mary. We had a snorkeling and Islamorada sandbar tour with Chris and Becca yesterday. The ocean was winds were kinda rough, so we didn't get snorkeling in, bit did have a blast at the sandbar. Because of the weather, Becca and Chris let us come back today. The snorkeling at the lighthouse was amazing, and the sandbar was again awesome again. Me and my now Husband went to the Keys for our Honeymoon, but our other excursions kept getting canceled due to lack of booking. I had one last excursion left that had not been canceled and that was with Spray water sports doing the jet ski guided tour. I called them to see about moving it around time wise to see if the other companies could still get us in to do snorkel or fishing. He offered multiple different times, mentioned they do not have a minimum so even if we are the only booking-we would still get to go out on the water, and then last had the option to just book our snorkel sandbar tour with them. We decided to do both snorkel/sandbar and then jet skis with them. Jet skiing was sooo much fun. We have never done them before so it took about 10 minutes to get comfortable with the throttle but our guide Aaron was a professional so he was very helpful. They even took our pictures so I didn’t risk dropping my phone in the water and then air dropped them to me at the end of the tour. Every so often Aaron would take us through the mangroves and would converse with us which was nice and personable. We saw sharks and jelly fish. 15/10 recommend booking any excursion with Spray!!!!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED riding these CatBoats. Sasha was a great guide. We had a big group and he tried really hard to make sure everyone stayed together and could hear him talk. Sasha rode up and down on his jet ski taking pictures of everyone which he sent to you once we were back on the dock. Perfect length tour, bigger group slower gentle pace, barely got sprayed. Shade canopy worked great, lots of sunscreen on my legs and splashed with water in the mangroves. Loved so much that we rebooked and did it again during our week in the Keys. Jack, our 2nd tour guide road us as fast and as far as we could. We absolutely loved it even when a boat crossed in between us and we crossed the wake and got splashed !! AND my phone was safe in my pocket. 🤪 Jack was upset for us but we LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT !!!! Alex at desk, Sasha & Jack guides and Mary who pushed us off- all friendly and helpful.
